Palladium 10% on carbon powder can be used as a catalyst for hydrogenation of alkenes, alkynes, ketones, nitriles, imines, azides, nitro groups, benzenoid and heterocyclic aromatics. Another use of it is the hydrogenolysis of cyclopropanes, benzyl derivatives, epoxides, hydrazines, and halides. Additionally, it can be used to dehydrogenate aromatics and deformylate aldehydes. Furthermore, it can be used as a catalyst for Stille reactions, hydrogenation reactions, Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and Heck-Mizoroki reactions, deoxygenation, oxidation reactions, and coupling reactions.
